Die besten Campingplätze bei Durrës

Durrës is a working port with a fifteen-kilometre beach attached, and the two things do not blend. The beach strip south toward Golem is dense, loud and commercial in season; the port side is industrial. Neither is where you want to spend three nights, but both are perfectly fine for one.

The guarded lot at Golem is the pragmatic choice: cheap, safe, twenty steps from the sand, and honest about being a car park rather than a campsite. Out of season it is quiet. In July and August overnight stays there are not tolerated, and that rule is enforced.

If you want an actual campsite, drive forty minutes. Divjakë-Karavasta to the south gives you pine forest and an empty beach; the Berat riverside stop inland gives you services and a UNESCO old town on foot.

Durrës itself is worth two hours: the Roman amphitheatre is one of the largest in the Balkans and sits, quite casually, in the middle of a residential block.
