Leave no trace — take every piece of rubbish with you, including other people’s.

Follow local laws and any posted signage, even when it is inconvenient.

Ask permission before staying on private land, farms or pastures.

Never block roads, gates, tracks or access to fields and water.

Keep noise low, especially after dark and near villages.

Protect water, forests, beaches and villages — no grey water, no soap in rivers, no fires in dry season.

Never assume a shared spot is legally approved for overnight camping.
